An opening ceremony in Kinshasa designed as an initiatory journey to discover the geographical, cultural, and human beauties of a country destined to become the foremost Francophone nation in the world. An odyssey at the heart of Congo's diversity, its fauna, flora, and cultural areas before reaching Kinshasa to welcome the 70 nations constituting the Francophonie. And to celebrate the brotherhood of peoples who share the French language. A 45-minute spectacle immersing the stadium in monumental décors projected over 5000 square meters and organized around a central monolith of images finally revealing the android rolling robot managing traffic in the city. Over 500 performers: dancers, artists, singers shared with the athletes the spirit of a fabulous country and made an entire people proud, organizing its first major international event since the 1973 fight between Mohammed Ali and Georges Foreman.
